Boris Johnson narrowly wins London mayoral race

Conservative Boris Johnson has been re-elected for a second term as Mayor of London in a tight race with Labour Party challenger Ken Livingstone. The outcome of  vote means that Mr. Johnson, 47, will remain Mayor of the British capital during this summer’s London Olympics. Johnson defeated Livingstone, who held the post from 2000-08, in a close race. Around 5.8 million Londoners were eligible to vote.
